I deeply value clear communication as the core of all my relationships.
As a web designer, I believe problem solving is an essential skill.
For good or bad, technology is constantly changing. This progression toward newer and better features is often accompanied by a little bit of chaos when things initially don’t work as expected. Resolving technical problems has become my forte over the years. This skill also enables me to provide maintenance for websites as technology continues to evolve.
Nobody likes it when technical problems crop up, but when they do you can rest assured that I will always do my best to find a solution!
Valuing good design includes two essentials: Your website looks good and functions effectively.
Looks good.
In today’s world it is imperative your website catches the eye! You want clear images displayed in a manner that engages your visitor – balanced out with your text and other graphic elements. Your site must present well on small or large screens. Color contrast and font size should be considered for the visually impaired. Your site must look clean and uncluttered, branding your business accurately. Bottom line, I value making sure all these elements are taken into account to give you a distinctive online presence.
Functions well.
Stating the obvious, your website should be error free and easy to navigate. Your content should be thoughtfully placed to prioritize what you want your visitors to see and do.
In the design world, there is a term ‘UX design’ (User Experience). This is about designing with the user in mind and making sure people enjoy their experience. Good navigation, speed, and accessibility for those with disabilities are aspects of good UX design. An accessible website is one that can be properly read by screen readers and easily navigated by those who cannot use a mouse. It’s an important and often overlooked aspect of web design.
There is a great deal to consider to ensure your website functions effectively. Over the last 10 years I have refined my design skills through continued implementation and research. I understand the many aspects that are needed to design efficient and dynamic websites.
